Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at The Raymond Corporation.
Software Engineer
It was a 1.5-hour interview with 5 interviewers. We talked about my experience and some questions related to the job description. It was mostly behavioral. I heard back within 2-3 days, but unfortunately, I wasn't selected.
- Tell me about a challenging situation you faced and how you handled it.
Software Engineer Intern
I applied online and then got a call for an online video interview. It was a short, half-hour meeting with three engineering managers, though only one showed up. I heard back about the outcome about three weeks later.
- Can you tell me about yourself?
- What aspects of your previous job did you find most enjoyable?
- Could you describe your role in your previous job?
Software Developer
The interview process started with a recruiter call, followed by an interview with the hiring manager, and then a coding test. I didn't get to the onsite interview stage, which was a shame. Each stage lasted about two weeks. The hiring manager and supervisor were great to chat with. Overall, the process was good, aside from not being selected.
- Can you discuss some challenges you've encountered?
- Could you tell me about your background?
- Do you have experience with basic Java concepts?
