I applied online and first spoke with a recruiter. The initial conversation was pretty standard. I was asked about my experience working with clients and exposure to high volume environments. I then moved onto an interview with leadership that felt a bit rushed. He seemed eager to get through his questions and really emphasized on the ability to be results driven and handle a high pressure environment. I was able to ask a few questions, mostly surrounding culture, leadership style, and communication practices as I did notice some of the negative reviews. I think the value I placed on these things, probably was a red flag for them because I did feel a shift in tone and then a week later I was given an auto rejection.

The interview process for this role felt really disorganized. It started with a recruiter call, which was normal. But then it got weird. They wanted me to do a super long, scripted mock call with someone. That got rescheduled, and I had to meet with a different person. On the day of the rescheduled call, the interviewer was late, so the interview got cut short. I had to schedule another time to do the same mock call again. Overall, it felt like they didn't respect my time and were probably dealing with a lot of internal chaos. If you're looking for a professional company, this process wasn't it. My friend had a much better experience a couple of years ago, but he's not there anymore.

Presentation Behavioral

The interview process was really disorganized. First, they kept rescheduling my interview times, which was super inconvenient because I had to keep taking time off from my current job. Then, the final interview was an assessment where I made a great presentation and answered all the questions. But in the end, one interviewer asked me stuff that was already in my presentation, like he wasn't even paying attention. The interview went well, and he said he'd follow up on Monday, but he didn't. I had to chase them for a follow-up, which told me a lot about the company. I ended up wasting my time and PTO for this. It's frustrating to make it to the final round and then get rejected, especially when it feels like they just want free ideas from assessments without any intention of hiring.

The interview process was very efficient and well structured. I started with an HR screen with the HR Manager in London, where expectations were set clearly and the process was explained transparently. The next two rounds were role plays with a Sales Enablement Manager in the local market. Each call included two role plays in different languages for the Bilingual SDR role supporting TPG’s entry into the European market. After each role play, I received specific, actionable feedback, and the summary from the 2nd round was especially helpful for preparing for the 3rd. Overall, the experience was very positive, and even though I did not receive an offer, I felt the process was fair, transparent, and a good reflection of the role. TPG seems like a solid place to start a career in tech sales.

Confirmed questions3 questions
  • Are you realistic about what awaits you in an entry-level SDR role (lots of volume, high activity targets, you need to be consistent)?
  • Do you prep well for the role plays?
  • Are you coachable?
