First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at The Peninsula Hotels.
Intern
The first interview is with HR, where they ask typical questions based on your resume. The second interview is with the department manager(s), where they ask about why you're interested in this department, your skills, strengths, and weaknesses, and may also ask about what's on your resume.
- Can you tell me about yourself and why you're interested in Peninsula?
- Why are you interested in this department?
Intern
It was a pretty fast interview process. First, I had an online screening interview with HR. After passing that, I was recommended for an onsite interview with the specific department. The questions were about our HRM course, so they were quite manageable as long as you answered well (staying poised and calm, for example).
- What is your understanding of the department's work?
Intern
So I first talked to the department head for the job I was trying for. Then some other department heads and some more senior people came in too. It was a pretty chill chat. They wanna know what they can give you and also what you can give them.
- What makes you want to work in the hotel industry?
