Software Engineer
The interview process was pretty smooth, and both the technical and hiring manager interviews went well. However, after the interviews, I tried reaching out to the recruiter multiple times for feedback or to know about the next steps, but I never heard back. It felt pretty unprofessional, and honestly, it left a bad impression. I wouldn't suggest interviewing with them.
- Can you describe your past experience in relation to this position?
Senior Software Engineer
I was contacted by a recruiter on Linkedin. The interview process involved a code assignment to complete at home, followed by a 30-minute phone interview with an Architect. I wasn't fully prepared for the in-depth interview, expecting it to be a simple screening, but it turned out to be challenging. After passing the screening, I was invited for a 4-hour back-to-back, 3-round in-person interview at the Dallas, TX office.
- Questions about Kafka were asked.
- Questions about Java were asked.
Software Engineer
I had two interviews with two different teams. It was super unorganized at first, but they apparently think the way to find good engineers is to ignore your background and just quiz you on vocabulary for languages and technologies. I've developed a lot with the tech they wanted, but since I don't know every API by heart, I guess I'm a beginner. The feedback was also really insulting, they basically called me a fraud. I can only guess what the culture is like if this is how they interview. If you're not good at memorizing but can solve engineering problems, this isn't the place. They'll make you feel stupid even if you know you're not.
- Can you explain collections?
- Is order guaranteed with Kafka?
- Be prepared for more random, vague vocabulary questions and things easily searchable online.
