First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at The North Face.
Supervisor
The interview started off weirdly because the interviewer seemed to think I applied for a different supervisor role at The North Face, not Timberland, even though my emails were clear. She also kept cutting me off mid-sentence by saying 'ok stop', which was pretty rude. It felt like the whole hiring team was disorganized and didn't know what they were doing.
- Which company values do you align with?
Supervisor
I submitted my Cover Letter and CV to the Assistant Manager. Four days later, the Manager called me for what he called a 'chat' to keep things informal. The interview was on Monday, and I got the offer on Thursday, starting in the store the following Monday! They were really welcoming and made me feel comfortable the whole time.
- Can you tell me a bit about yourself?
- In your own words, what constitutes excellent customer service?
- Can you share an instance where you had to deal with a challenging coworker, and explain how you handled it?
Supervisor
It was a really relaxed and informal chat, the manager was super friendly. It felt really natural and I stopped feeling nervous right away. It was a good experience. The first part was a phone call with an HR person, like a screening. They were really nice, chatty and positive. Then I had an interview with the store manager on Zoom because of COVID. Again, really friendly, informal, easy chat about my past experiences and stuff. I heard back in under a week with an offer. I'd suggest it.
