I first had a quick zoom meeting with the hiring manager. After that, I had a panel interview with two people who would be my peers. Unfortunately, I didn't move forward after that round, although they were very nice and respectful. The hiring manager emailed me to let me know I wouldn't be advancing and offered to have a debrief call if I wanted one.

The interview process involved a written questionnaire, followed by a 30-minute chat with either HR or the hiring manager. Next, there were two panel interviews. After putting in the effort to complete the written part and get ready for the panels, it was disappointing that the interviewers seemed unprepared. The first panel had people who didn't collaborate well and couldn't discuss program priorities or answer detailed questions. They were also distracted during the interview. The hiring manager didn't provide a hiring timeline, and the interviewers stuck to a script without asking follow-up questions. Despite being a finalist, my application was handed off to an unfamiliar HR person, and I received a rejection email after their promised reply date. While not a terrible process overall, it reflected poorly on how the organization values its employees and potential hires.

I applied online and got an email back about a week later. The HR person set up a phone interview, and I was supposed to call them. I called and got voicemail, then tried again and emailed to confirm the number. About four hours later, they asked to reschedule. We finally connected the next day for about 30 minutes. It was a basic phone interview, and they said I'd hear about next steps in a week. I emailed after seven days for an update, but got no response. About two weeks after the phone interview, I got an email saying they were moving forward with other candidates. It was a fine experience overall, but the communication was really rough. I wish I'd either moved forward or gotten some feedback on what they were looking for.
