Digital Strategist
A recruiter reached out about a role, so I went for it even though I wasn't actively looking. First, I had a phone interview with the recruiter, then another phone interview with someone new to the company who seemed inexperienced. After that, I went for an in-person interview, but I really disliked the office atmosphere. The interviewer was arrogant and made me feel inferior. I left and knew I wouldn't take the job even if offered, especially since the salary was terrible. I ended up getting two better offers later that year with better pay and a good company culture. My advice is to look elsewhere.

Digital Strategist
It was a lot of interviews, like 5 to 7 total with different people. Two were phone calls, one of those was with the recruiter who was great and really sold the job. But most other people seemed to have a chip on their shoulder, and the office felt like a boy's club. In the final interviews, they rushed through them and basically said I didn't have experience in a key area, even though my resume showed I've been doing it for years. I was excited at first, but meeting most of the people in person changed my mind. It doesn't seem like a place I'd want to work.
- Can you walk me through your past roles?
- What makes you want to join our team?
- What would someone who dislikes you say about you?
Digital Strategist
So the HR person was supposed to call me, but they stood me up and then called 2 hours late while I was eating lunch with a friend and just launched into a description of the job without checking if I could talk. She then asked me about my other interviews and where I was in the process with other companies. She set up a call for me with the Director of Digital Strategy for a full-time Jr. Digital Strategy role, but then rushed me off the phone because she was on vacation. After that, I spoke with the Dir. DS, and after about 30 minutes of talking, he told me that the Jr. DS role wasn't actually available, and it was actually a part-time temp role paying $7.50/hr. He said he'd try to work with another department to get me enough hours to make it full-time temp. This is the second time TMA has told me I was interviewing for one role, then changed it last minute to a part-time temp role. I've turned down both. They seem to label entry-level roles like 'marketing specialist' or 'Jr. [department]' and then pay them really low hourly wages. I've decided I will never interview with them again because they're a huge waste of time and aren't very honest.
- Can you tell me about your other current interviews and your progress with them?
