First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at The Marketing Arm.
Senior Account Executive
The interview process was pretty straightforward and moved quickly. I think it took about two weeks from when HR first contacted me until I received the offer. First, I had a chat with HR. Then, I interviewed with my potential manager and her manager. They were approachable and clearly explained what they were looking for. The last interview was with two members of the creative team. It was similar to the previous talks; we discussed the account, how work gets done, and their expectations for the person in this position.
- Can you explain how your background matches what we're looking for?
Account Executive
HR reached out and gave info on the company and the position. They explained the process and kept good contact the entire time. I did 3 rounds of interviews, 2 with the account team and 1 with the creative team - all virtually. They requested references after they identified me as a finalists. Best HR/hiring experience I have encountered on my 3 month journey! The team was accommodating and negotiated with me.
- In a fast-paced environment, how do you maintain organization?
- Could you describe your level of client interaction?
- What is your approach to managing?
Account Executive
The interview process was pretty quick, consisting of one phone interview and an in-person interview. However, I have nothing positive to say about the company or the process itself. The interviewers were rude and condescending, leading me to decide I would absolutely pull myself out of the process. The questions were designed to understand my current job responsibilities, but despite the company claiming involvement in all business aspects, they seemed unaware of the details I discussed.
- How do you manage a group with many strong personalities?
