Growth Marketing Manager
This was easily the best interview process I’ve ever experienced. From the very first outreach, the energy was upbeat and refreshing. The LEGO/BrickLink team was friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely kind throughout. Scheduling was seamless, communication was clear, and the questions felt more like a collaborative conversation than a test. Even though I didn’t get the role, the experience was so positive that I’d be excited to apply again when the right opportunity opens up. Truly a 10/10 process.
- Can you share something interesting about yourself that isn't already on your resume?
Marketing Manager
This was a disrespectful waste of time. I went through 3 interviews for the role, including a presentation, and thought it was going well. The recruiter then called to say they hired someone else, which is fine. The process and people were nice until the recruiter mentioned they thought I'd be great for another similar role coming up soon and connected me with that recruiter. After I applied, I was rejected before even a screening interview. A week later, surprisingly, they invited me to a first interview. But then, days before it, they cancelled it due to internal changes, meaning the role wouldn't be filled.
- With a very limited budget, how would you carry out the communication plan?
Marketing Manager
So I applied for a bunch of jobs at the LEGO Group in 2024, over 30 actually. It can feel pretty daunting, but remember lots of people working there now went through something similar. This last one took about a month, though that's not always the case. I applied on October 11th, had my third and final interview on October 12th, and they called me with a verbal offer the very next morning. Like others have said, the first interview is about 30-45 minutes with the talent acquisition manager. The second is with the hiring manager and key people involved in your role. The final interview involves presenting a case study to potentially the same group plus a senior talent person. My tips: tailor every single CV, really show you fit the LEGO Group values, emphasize your international and multicultural experience, always have questions for them, ask for feedback, and definitely make your case study stand out with something unique and show your thinking. Beyond that, there's no single way it happens, it'll be different for you and the specific role.
- What makes you interested in LEGO and specifically this position?
- Could you identify an area where you're looking to grow professionally and explain your plan to address it?
- Describe your approach to managing a challenging stakeholder.
