Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at The Kraft Group.
HR Coordinator
The first part of the interview doesn't even involve talking to a person. You have to record yourself answering some questions and then play some games, kind of like a kid would. It felt like a total lack of respect for candidates. After I finished the virtual interview, I kept getting the same messages reminding me to do it or to ignore them if I already had. I also got repeated messages saying I was still being considered. Then, two weeks later, I finally got a real update: the job posting was filled and closed. Thanks for nothing! My suggestion: Actually talk to the candidates! I know it sounds like a wild idea, but maybe you'd find better candidates if you took the time to get to know them instead of using a weird video tool.
- In what ways do you see yourself contributing to this team?
- Can you share an experience where you had a conflict with a coworker and how you handled it?
- Could you tell us a bit more about yourself?
Human Resources Coordinator
I was reached out to by talent acquisition for an interview with the team lead. This interview was about 30-45 minutes long. After that, there were two more interviews, one with the head of the division and another with the CHRO. Each of those interviews lasted for an hour.
- Could you walk me through your Human Resources background?
- Describe a time you had to deal with an upset employee or vendor.
- What specifically interests you about the Kraft Group?
Human Resources Coordinator
I applied online and got a call from a coordinator who told me to come in for an interview later that week. The next day I got an automated email to do a virtual interview on HireView. I had an in-person interview with the HR Manager and Sr HR Manager. Then I was invited back for an interview the next week, but got a call at the start of the week saying they wanted to offer me the position, but decided to make it part-time instead of the full-time position I applied for. Everyone was super nice and I appreciated the offer but needed to stay open to full-time offers.
- Explain how your experience aligns with the requirements of this role.
