First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at The Knot Worldwide.
Social Media Coordinator
The interview was easy to schedule. It was a video call and they asked a few basic questions like "tell me about yourself". I heard back with a rejection about a day later.
- Can you introduce yourself?
- What makes you suitable for this role?
Social Media Manager
I chatted with six different people, and then I was given an assignment related to the social media platform I applied for. Everyone I met was super nice and really knew their stuff. The entire process took under a month.
- What strategies would you propose to enhance our social media presence?
Social Media Manager
The interview process was quite long. It included 4 interviews in total: one with a direct report, one with a VP, and two with team members for culture fit. The HR contact was not very responsive, only reaching out when it was time to schedule an interview last minute. After that, I had to create a marketing campaign for a topic of their choice, which was very open-ended. I also had to determine the target audience and suggest a budget for a boosted campaign. I followed up two days after submitting the project but didn't hear back. Hours later, I got an automated message saying I wasn't chosen, with no explanation. Given how long the process was, it would be helpful to know the reason for not being selected. I suspect they already knew their decision before asking for the project.
- What improvements would you suggest for our current social media presence?
- Can you share some key performance indicators you've monitored for past campaigns you've led?
