So kind and casual! Discussed about experiences and asked questions, but very casual and relaxed in a way that was enjoyable. Great interviewer who really seemed knowledgeable but also accessible.

Got contacted by a recruiter on LinkedIn about a Senior Product Designer role. Had an initial screening call with them to discuss my background, what I'm looking for, and the interview process. This was followed by calls with the hiring manager, a product director, and a design director. The process overall was: 1. Phone screen. 2. Competency rounds with the hiring manager, product director, and design director. We discussed my background, current role, and future aspirations. For the hiring manager, I presented a case study from my portfolio and did a quick thought exercise on an e-commerce page, discussing potential changes and hypotheses. The product director asked situational questions like 'tell me about a time when...'. The design director went deeper into my background and another case study. 3. Final interviews included calls with an engineer and a designer, followed by a whiteboard challenge. I received prep materials for the whiteboard challenge, which focused on collaboration with product and engineering. The whole process was really smooth and communicative.

The interview process was a bit lengthy as I met with several people, and balancing everyone's schedules is complex. I think it was a very complete process in which you get to understand how the company is structured and functions as well as the challenges they face, and what your responsibilities are going to be. I think it is a well organized and complete process so that both you and the company can see if it is what you are looking for.
