The interview was very easy and conversational. The kitchen manager was very pleasant and helpful. I expected to get more questions to show my skills, but it was brief and easy, basically a conversation.

It was a very quick interview, lasting about 5-7 minutes. The interviewer didn't seem very engaged in getting to know me. I didn't even get a chance to introduce myself properly because a manager jumped right into asking about my previous job. I was surprised by this approach. Anyway, I answered the question about my past job and explained why I left, but then the interviewer immediately asked 'WHY DID YOU LEAVE THAT PLACE'?', which made me realize they weren't really listening to me. There were a few questions about my availability. The manager also avoided eye contact. After a few minutes, the interviewer tried to wrap things up by asking if I had any questions. I never got an opportunity to show my personality. I'm wondering how anyone can determine if a candidate is a good fit with such an interview style. I was prepared and dressed professionally. I'm very disappointed.

I did a walk-in interview for the server position. The interview was super short, under 2 minutes. First, she asked me why I wanted to work at the Keg. Then, she asked me to name five types of vodkas and five types of wine. I could only answer 3 out of 5 for each, and she told me I needed more knowledge. I told her I'd love to learn, especially since my past experience with wine was limited. I wish I'd had the chance to show my personality. A manager I knew from a previous serving job recommended me, saying I'd be great and could train to learn about wine pairings.
