The interview process started with a short 15-30 minute get-to-know-you chat with HR and another candidate. It was conversational, but I wish I'd known another applicant would be there. The second interview was a Zoom call. My scheduled 10 AM start time was delayed because an employee was 15 minutes late. After I emailed, they rescheduled for 10:30 AM due to a meeting running long, and I'm not sure what would have happened if I hadn't reached out. This interview also included another applicant. The employee presented a PowerPoint on the training process and company culture, which was also conversational and fun. The third interview was a 20-30 minute meeting with the CEO, Kinsey, who was also enjoyable to talk with and provided more details about the role. This was the only interview without another candidate present. The entire process, from the first interview to the job offer, was completed in under a week. They operate quickly, leaving little room for questions or clarification. I had to ask if there was time for questions, and their answers were evasive.

The hiring process starts with an initial interview that seems to focus on getting to know the candidate. However, the second interview is conducted in a very unconventional and unprofessional setting, like the checkout line of a grocery store. The job title 'Event Coordinator' is misleading because the actual role involves starting in sales/promotional work in places like Costco, Walmart, and Sam's Club. After a few months, you can get promoted to a leader for 3-6 months, then to assistant manager for a few months, and finally to 'manager.' In the 'manager' role, your main responsibility is to set up promotional events for the new hires to sell products. Compensation is structured the same for the first three roles (promotional sales, leader, assistant manager), with pay being $10/hr per person or 18% of sales, split among all sales staff that day. Once you reach the 'manager' position, your share of the sales commission increases slightly to 20% of sales.

The interview process was a bit drawn out, but I did get to chat with folks from different teams. The best part was the interview with the manager; she asked some really good questions. They did offer me the job, but when I asked for a little time to think about it, they wanted an answer within 24 hours. It felt like they were rushing me and didn't really care about my thoughts.

I went through 3 rounds of interviews. First, there was an HR call, then an in-person interview related to my field, and finally another HR call. They asked a lot of strange questions about the marketing field, even though they said direct marketing is just sales on steroids. I left the job a couple months after accepting it.
