Producer
I applied online and had a phone chat with the recruiter. Then, they gave me an 'assignment' to do for free, which I completed. The recruiter was a bit vague for over a month, and then just disappeared. I was really looking forward to interviewing with them, but my feelings changed a lot by the end. They should really pay people for their time when they ask for 'assignments' with quick deadlines. Also, they should give a clear answer at the end of the process. Ghosting is super unprofessional, especially when you're asking people to do free work.
- Can you tell me about your relevant experience?
Staff Writer
I applied online and heard back in about three days. A recruiter asked me to do a writing assessment. I submitted three micro-reviews within three business days. About seven business days later, I got an automated message saying I didn't move forward. This was the first time I had to do a writing assessment without an interview. The recruiter was professional and gave me feedback when I asked, but the process felt impersonal and extractive. I'm thankful for the opportunity to apply and wish the team luck.
- Could you introduce yourself and explain your suitability for this position?
Product Engineer
The people you'll meet are really friendly and approachable. Since the engineering team works closely with product, they'll expect you to be able to make user experience and design decisions. You'll discuss your take-home submission, and then do a lot of design whiteboarding, with some light technical/implementation details asked for.
- Can you talk about an app or product you like using?
- Walk me through your project submission and the thought process behind it.
- Can you think of ways to improve it?
Business Insights Analyst
So, the whole thing was like 5 rounds. First up was a quick chat with the recruiter. Then I had this hiring manager thing where I had to do some live coding. After that, there were 3 more interviews with Directors and product managers. Unfortunately, I didn't get it after the last one.
- Cases related to analyzing the sales funnel.
