The interview process consists of 5 rounds, after which candidates are ghosted. They do not value the time candidates spend preparing or speaking with recruiters, managers, directors, team leads, and HR representatives over several days. It's unfortunate when candidates make personal sacrifices, like missing a funeral and a graduation, to interview. Companies should be mindful that a multi-round process is time-consuming, and candidates sacrifice valuable time. Ghosting is not a good practice, especially after candidates invest over 30 hours in preparation and interviews, going through an intense and overwhelming experience.

Behavioral Presentation

I applied to the Honest Company a while back and didn't hear anything. After a year, I looked again and saw they had openings, so I applied online. A week later, I got a call asking if I wanted to interview. The recruiter mentioned their process is a bit different and asked if I could come in the next day, which I was happy to do! I first met with a Team Lead for about 45 minutes. We mostly just chatted about the role and my experience, getting to know each other. Then, I spoke with another Team Lead for about 30 minutes. He mentioned they had over 1,500 applicants for this job! After that, the VP of Client Services gave me a tour of the office and introduced me to some of the staff. The whole interview process took about 2.5 hours. The VP walked me out and said he'd call me the next day about next steps. Around 6pm, I got the call saying they thought I was a good fit and wanted me to come in to discuss salary. Overall, the whole application process was super fast, which I really liked. Got the call Wednesday, interviewed Thursday, got the offer Friday, and signed everything Monday.

I sent in my application online. Then I had a quick 15 minute phone call. They asked me why I was applying, about my past work experience, and gave me some info about the job. They said the next step would be an in person interview, and it sounded like it was pretty much guaranteed. But then I sent a follow up email to say thanks for the call, and they didn't even reply. It sounds like a good company to work for and maybe even move up in, so maybe I'll try again if I don't get it this time.
