First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at The Hershey Company.
Associate Manager
It was a long process, about 7 interviews in total. Took over a month and was very tiring. There were multiple rounds with leadership. The offer was too low, so I didn't accept. The benefits were very limited for the amount of work, so it sounded like it wasn’t worth it.
- Can you share an example of when you made an impact on your team?
Business Manager
The whole process took 2 months and 4 rounds of interviews, plus I had to do a business case. I was really disappointed overall, especially after putting in so much time. I had to chase them up after the final interview and only got a text saying they were still interviewing other people. For the time I dedicated, I expected some feedback and at least a proper message saying I wasn't successful. Really disappointing, and I wouldn't interview with them again.
- What do you think is the biggest challenge for this job?
Senior Manager
The interview process was quite involved for a smaller company. There were about 6 interviews, not counting the HR screening. Everyone I spoke with was really friendly and made me feel comfortable and heard. It seemed like they weren't trying to lead in any area but aimed to keep pace with competitors. After a total of 7 hours of interviews, I received a standard rejection email on a Sunday night. For a senior position and after investing 7 hours, I expected more than just that follow-up.
- Describe a challenging decision you had to make and your approach to resolving it.
