Behavioral

I applied for a Project Engineer - Packaging job I saw on Linkedin. About halfway through my first chat with the Recruiter, they told me I wasn't being considered for the Project Engineer role anymore, but instead for a Designer II position. This other role is less senior and pays much less. I finished the conversation and then emailed the Recruiter to ask if they would reconsider me for the original job I applied for. They said no, so I decided not to move forward with the Designer II position and asked them to withdraw my application.

I went through two rounds of interviews, each lasting about 4-5 hours. I spoke with engineers of various levels, and then the director. It felt like it could have been a panel interview, especially since I ended up interviewing with some of the same people again the following week.
