Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at The Goddard School.
Director
The interview process felt really disorganized and unprofessional. They actually asked me to send my resume again because they couldn't find it, even though I had already submitted it with my application. The interviewers were also late, by about 10 minutes, and they even got my name wrong. The whole thing felt really forced and it was obvious they weren't on the same page about what was happening. To top it off, they asked me what job I was even applying for. It was a very strange interview experience.
- Can you tell me why you were interested in this role?
- What skills do you possess?
- Which position were you seeking?
Director
This was a very structured interview that focused on what you truly contributed to your last employer and how that relates to this role. It was one of the best interviews I've had because it showed me if what I accomplished was a good fit for the job.
- How did you add value in Job X?
- How will your experience in Job X apply to Goddard?
Assistant Director
I met with the owner and the current director. The interview was two hours long. They were really professional and friendly. They told me about the program, asked why I wanted to work for the school and why I thought I'd be a good fit. I also got a tour of the classrooms and the school.
- How would you handle staff responses to the previous director leaving?
