The interview process started with an AI platform for video questions, lasting under 30 minutes. Next, I had an online Zoom meeting with HR/recruiter. We chatted about the role, company culture, and my past experience. Following that, a coordinator scheduled an in-person interview. I then met with two coordinators at the Gersh offices. The whole process moved quite quickly.

I was supposed to have a screening with HR, but the rep contacted me last minute and said that the Partner whose desk it was for was going to be conducting my interview instead. It was about 30 minutes long over Zoom.

A few days after I applied, they sent me an AllUp link to record pre-recorded answers for an interview. A few days after that, HR called me to schedule 3 in-person interviews and 1 virtual interview. I did the in-person interviews with Agents. Most of them were friendly, but they seemed worn out from a full day of interviews. I got the rejection email a few days later. Even though I didn't get an offer, I liked how quickly they responded and communicated.

I had a Zoom interview with a recruiter for an assistant position. The job description stated they were looking for someone with 1+ years of experience at an assistant desk, which I knew I didn't have. However, I had skills and prior experiences that aligned with the duties of an assistant desk, so I applied. I was surprised to get an interview, but figured my prior experiences/skills must have been enough to make the recruiter think I could be a good fit. The first question asked was about desk experience. I explained I didn't have it, but shared my transferable skills. The recruiter then mentioned they were looking for someone with prior desk experience, implying I wasn't the best candidate. I understand I wasn't the right fit, but I'm confused why I was interviewed when my resume clearly showed my experiences didn't align with their needs. It felt like a waste of time for both of us.
