Nathan Stewart was really great, he was super responsive to all my questions and guided me through the entire hiring process even during the Christmas holidays. It was refreshing to work with someone so professional and attentive to my concerns.

Behavioral Other

I had an initial phone interview with a recruiter. He asked if I could take a writing assessment before moving on to the next step. I said yes and he scheduled a date and time for me to take it. I emailed him on the agreed-upon date and time but didn't hear back. He never sent the test. Complete radio silence. I'm disappointed because I woke up early to take the assessment and was actually looking forward to it. Companies should be more mindful of candidates' time and should be better at communicating changes in the interview process. I would have greatly appreciated it if he reached out to cancel -- but to completely ghost someone like this is totally unprofessional.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

I talked to JZ from Scripps Recruiting first. Then I went in person to meet three people from the on-demand audio team, including the supervisor/EP. A few weeks later, I got a homework assignment, which was pitching show and topic ideas and giving notes on an existing podcast. They told me that was the last step. Weeks went by with no updates, so I reached out to HR. She told me it was down to me and one other person. More weeks passed with no word, and I just wanted it to be over, so I emailed HR again. Still heard nothing. I followed up one last time a couple weeks ago, and it's been the same silence. I still haven't officially heard anything about the job, which is crazy because this all started back in July and it's now December. It feels pretty unprofessional they couldn't even send a quick email to let me know the outcome, especially since I was a finalist. But, I guess that's how things are in LA, with integrity and follow-through being so rare these days.
