The interview went well. It started with OOPs concepts and then moved on to other topics. I think an interview should be structured this way – beginning with the fundamentals and then progressing to other areas once the candidate has had enough time to get comfortable and answer all questions. If I couldn't answer a question, the interviewer kindly provided some information on the topic. This is really important. It not only puts the candidate at ease but also fosters a positive atmosphere. Instead of making someone feel inadequate or demeaning them with looks when they are unfamiliar with a topic, it's always better to educate and share knowledge. This was the L1 round, and the L2 and HR rounds are still to come.

Technical Behavioral

Had a MS Teams interview with a panel of 3 people. They refused to turn on their cameras, claiming it was company policy, which I found to be BS. The questions asked weren't really suitable for someone with senior experience, feeling more like basic level stuff rather than practical application. It felt like talking to stone walls with obscure questions that don't connect to everyday work. They seem to think they're a big name like Google or Meta, but they're just a small consulting company. They have an inflated view of their desirability, as other companies are frankly better. It's a cheap body shop operation. I wouldn't have accepted their offer even if I got one.
