It was pretty simple and direct. The managers mainly wanted to see how I handled myself in group settings and one-on-one to figure things out on the spot. A big part of the interview focused on showing that I'm someone people can approach, who's curious and friendly.

The interview process was really straightforward and professional. The interviewer made sure not to pressure me and gave me all the details about the store so I was comfortable with it before accepting the job.

I applied for the Sales Associate role on Glassdoor, which was for seasonal hiring. After the initial application, I got an email for a more detailed one, which I completed quickly. A few days later, they emailed to schedule a phone interview. I accepted the time, but nobody called. After waiting 30 minutes, I emailed them. Three hours later, someone called, apologized, and we did the interview. We then scheduled an in-store interview. I arrived early, but the manager was 15 minutes late. I really liked the store but was disappointed not to get an offer. I didn't get asked about my ability to approach customers or sign people up for perks programs, even though I'm good at both. I'm also older than the current employees, and I'm not sure if that was a factor. It was also disappointing not to get the employee discount. The missed phone interview felt like a lack of concern. The manager offered a lower hourly rate than I expected based on Glassdoor. I would have accepted less. Overall, the interview process was disappointing given the company's principles. Like another reviewer, I felt the questions didn't relate to my actual abilities. I felt like they were just going through the motions.
