First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at The Clorox Company.
Supply Chain Intern
The interview process was pretty good overall, and the hiring managers that came to my school were all amazing. They made the interview feel more like a conversation and were always transparent about everything.
- Can you tell me about yourself?
Supply Chain Analyst
I chatted with a recruiter at the job fair and then had an on-campus interview. It was a pretty standard interview. The interviewer reviewed my resume and asked some questions about my past experiences, followed by three more behavioral questions. I liked the interview itself, but when it came time for HR to let me know about an offer, they were not very helpful or understanding of any special circumstances, which made me wonder if this company would be a good fit.
- Can you share an instance where you had to make a decision without much guidance?
Sourcing Analyst
I applied online and was surprised to get a call from a Clorox recruiter. So it's not true that 'you have to know somebody'. What seems to be important though is have the right keywords in your resume! Resumes are parsed for keywords by the recruiter so they can determine if you are a good match. Then the recruiter calls and asks you some general questions, to determine if they should recommend you to the hiring managers. So I had the initial recruiter call, followed by a phone interview with the hiring manager. Then I was invited to come in person and meet with about 4 people, one at a time. They then apparently convene and decide if the candidate was right for the job, and if so the initial recruiter will probably be the one to circle back with you with a job offer package.
- How do you handle ambiguity?
