First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at The Clorox Company.
Financial Analyst
The only good part of the process was that it was just a phone screen and technical interview. I was told I would find out after 3 days if I got the job or not. I felt the interview went smoothly, however did not hear back after 3 weeks of following up quite a few times. When they finally did reject me, they got the wrong job title in the rejection. Company demonstrates poor communication, disorganization, and a lack of support for current and future employees.
- What makes you want to work for Clorox?
Finance Analyst Intern
I went to a recruitment event Clorox was hosting. They have great consumer and professional products. The event was super organized, and I got interviewed right away, no waiting. They even gave me an offer for the internship the very next day! It was super fast and made me feel good about the company and the chance to join their team.
- Can you describe the difference between a Profit & Loss statement and a Balance Sheet?
- Could you explain what Non-Performing Assets (NPA) refers to?
- What is Internal Rate of Return (IRR)?
Financial Analyst
I applied through university recruiting. My first round interview was on campus the following week and the final round 2 weeks after that. The first round is basic behavioral and finance/accounting concepts. Final round is at headquarters and includes technical, behavioral, and case study. They are very friendly during interviews and try to help you work through questions! The case study is not nearly as difficult as other ones, they just want to see how you think through numbers and ideas. As a company, I think it's clear they want to get to know who you are and if you fit with their generally happy, positive culture.
- What is the time value of money?
- What factors do you consider regarding financial statements when acquiring a company?
- Can you share an instance where you displayed curiosity?
