Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at The Clorox Company.
Senior Analyst
It was a fast process, took about 3 weeks. Started with a 30-minute HR phone interview, then a hiring manager interview, and finally a case study presentation. It was a pretty standard interview structure. We were able to negotiate salary too.
- Can you describe a situation where you collaborated with other teams or departments?
Analyst
I got referred to this job through my university and had an initial interview with a manager. They visited campus for this interview, which was a mix of behavioral and technical questions. The next round had three parts: a technical section, a behavioral section, and a case study. It was like an extended version of the first interview, plus a case study where I had to propose a solution to a business problem or scenario using my business knowledge. Everyone I met during the interviews was super nice. It was a great experience overall!
- Can you explain the difference between organic and inorganic growth and when each is advantageous?
Analyst
First, I had a phone chat with HR about my experience and why I'm interested in the company. Then, the hiring manager called to review my resume and my motivation for joining. Finally, I went in person for interviews with the hiring manager and four other team managers, each separately. They also gave me an Excel test that another Analyst facilitated.
- Can you share a story about a challenging situation you faced while managing an employee?
