Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at The Buckle.
Sales Associate
It was pretty straightforward. No behavioral questions, just a casual chat about me. We discussed hobbies, availability, and college plans. It felt more like a friendly conversation than a serious interview.
- What are your hobbies?
- Can you tell me about your availability?
- What are your plans for college?
Sales Associate
When you come in for the interview, they'll ask you some basic questions. Just make sure you dress the part completely. I had an associate tell me beforehand that I should wear clothes that they sell there. She didn't give a lot of details, but I figured they won't hire you if you don't.
- What makes you want to be employed at this company?
Sales Associate
It was a pretty standard interview process. They asked a lot of questions, and it was conducted in the store. The vibe was chill, but there was a significant wait time before the actual interview began. A lot of the discussion focused on my past work history. Overall, it was a fine experience.
- What motivated your transition from the food industry to retail?
- Can you describe your past experience?
- What experience do you have in retail?
