I interviewed with a few managers and felt like it went pretty well, as my experience was exactly what they were looking for. They seemed really interested in me and told me I'd hear back in a few days. But then over a week went by and I never got the offer.

Behavioral Group

This hiring process can take a while, about 2.5 months from application to offer. It's a group interview process where HR does the initial screening, which is pretty good as you get to talk to a manager or director early on. Sometimes it's invite-only, but they also have open hiring days a couple of times a year, so watch out for those, especially during busy seasons. The interview itself might take a good chunk of your afternoon, around 2-4 hours, because they might move you to interview with different team members based on their needs and your interview. They're also open to discussing if the role you applied for is the best fit, and they might suggest other positions if they align better with your skills, availability, or current openings. If you pass this stage, you'll then interview with the department you'd be working in. If you get the offer, be aware that the training is longer than expected; the first two weeks are about getting familiar with the team and the property, and the following two weeks are specific to your role, with opportunities for assessments and feedback if you need more clarification.

Behavioral Presentation

You go through a bunch of interviews where they ask basic stuff about your experience and education. Then, you'll chat with a department leader to see if you're a fit. If that works out, they'll offer you a position or maybe suggest another department that might be a better match.

Behavioral Other

I applied for the Guest Relations Coordinator and first interviewed with the recruiter at my university, which went really well. Then about a week later, I got a call for another interview with Sarah, who was so interested in my interest beyond just the job description. She then brought in the supervisor to meet me. He explained the next steps, and I had to email him a writing sample of an email suggesting things to guests, as they communicate a lot with guests electronically. After that, about a week and a half later, I met with the supervisors of the guest services department, which also went great. Another week and a half later, HR called and extended the offer. I accepted and am now going through orientation, and it feels like the right choice at The Breakers!
