Behavioral Presentation

The hiring process kicked off with an initial chat on Google Meet. Although the interview seemed to go well, I noticed the questions didn't touch on my resume at all and there were no follow-up questions. Near the end, I was asked if I'd do a take-home assessment for a fake client. They nudged me towards creating 2 videos and 1 static post for two social platforms, which is what others have apparently been asked to do. I spent the weekend creating the content and writing a summary explaining my platform choices and audience targeting. A few days later, I got a generic rejection email that felt unprofessional and wasn't even addressed to me. I tried to get feedback on my assessment by replying and reaching out to the interviewer directly, but I never heard back.

After reviewing my application, they showed interest and asked for my social media links. This led to a positive video interview. Then, I was given a design test for a fictional client, requiring two videos and a static post based on basic guidelines. I spent significant time creating and editing the video content with effects and captions, and designed a static post, including a write-up explaining my strategy. Unfortunately, I received a very impersonal and unprofessional rejection, which made me question the company's culture.
