First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at The Borgen Project.
HR Intern
First, I had to complete a quiz for screening. After that, I had a 30-minute meeting with someone. They asked me about the company’s mission and what they do. You should totally do your research before. This interview was the only one, and then they offered me the job.
- Can you tell us what the Borgen Project does?
HR Intern
The HR person from the organization reached out pretty quickly after I applied. We scheduled a Zoom interview to happen within the week. They also mentioned that I could change my position during the interview if I wanted to.
- Why were you interested in the Borgen Project?
- What is your availability?
- Could you fundraise $500 for the company?
HR Intern
The interview was pretty simple and short. I prepared by looking at the other reviews posted, and all the questions that they asked me were in those, so no surprises. Essentially show that you have done research on the company via the website, that you care about global poverty and that you are willing to fundraise.
- What is your motivation for pursuing an HR role or this specific application?
- Could you share which section of our website particularly caught your attention?
- How do you interpret our mission statement?
