Marketing
The interview process involved a recruiter call where I was asked about my motivation for joining the company, my past experiences, what I like about the company, my familiarity with their products and business, and if I've visited their store.
- What makes you want to join this company?
- Could you tell me about your previous experience?
- What aspects of our company do you find appealing?
Marketing
It was a pretty chill and friendly interview process. They asked me the usual competency questions and some creative ones about new product development. I chatted with managers from two different brands. They wanted to see my product portfolio knowledge and my ideas for new products. They were especially interested in how to reach millennial consumers because the brand is having trouble competing with newer products.
- Can you suggest a fragrance for Mother's Day?
Marketing Placement
The interview and application process started pretty standardly, and the phone interviewer was nice. But the assessment centre was awful. Staff were rude and seemed like you were wasting their time. We had 3 days to prep a 30min presentation, and on arrival, we had to edit it with new info. I presented to a rude woman who barely spoke English and didn't get words like 'revenue' or 'cash flow', so I couldn't finish my presentation. The maths test and group exercise were standard, but we waited 2 hours for the first cut results. The hiring manager said she made us wait to 'build suspense'. I had another interview with the same woman, so I only saw one hiring manager all day when we were supposed to see more. My competency-based interview had no competency questions, just irrelevant ones. The most relevant question was reciting Excel formulas. She cut our interview short for a meeting and left me alone to leave. Other friends had similar unorganized experiences. Current students also said it's unorganized, one even had to do a manager's job because theirs was absent for two months. We were told we'd hear back in a week, but it's been 3 weeks, and I still haven't heard.
- Can you state three Excel formulas and explain their functions?
