First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at The Body Shop.
Customer Assistant
The interview process included questions about my CV and personal skills, and a floor simulation where they observed how I'd handle actual customers. If no customers were present, the manager would act as one. They also asked about my previous work experience.
- What is your approach to managing an upset customer?
- What motivates your interest in this role with our company?
- Could you elaborate on your key strengths?
Customer Assistant
Had a quick 15 minute chat, then a 15 minute trial on the shop floor where I had to watch how I dealt with customers and what I saw about the displays, followed by a 30 minute interview with the usual questions.
- What makes you want to work for Body Shop in particular?
Customer Assistant
I went to The Body Shop store in person, asked if they were hiring, and they were. They asked me to come back the next week for a face-to-face interview and a trial.
- What's your experience as a customer assistant?
