First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at The Blackstone Group.
Data Analyst
Following an initial screening call, I was given a take-home project focused on data analysis. After that, there were several rounds of both behavioral and technical interviews with different people from the company. The questions during these interviews seemed a bit all over the place, covering a broad range of topics and asked by various types of employees.
- Could you perform an on-the-spot data analysis?
- Solve this math brainteaser.
- Answer some SQL questions.
Data Analyst
First, I had a recruiter call, then a case study. The second round was with the hiring manager and team members, where they asked a mix of technical and behavioral questions. The third round was with senior leaders, and it was all behavioral questions.
- Can you walk us through your end-to-end projects?
Data Analyst
The interview process included a mix of behavioral questions, like 'tell me about yourself' and 'tell me about your projects', along with a few technical questions focusing on SQL and Python. I think it went pretty well, and the interviewer was really nice.
- Could you explain what a window function is?
- And what about a CTE, what is that?
