The whole interview process took about a month and a half. I talked to 4 people, from a VP and current analysts to the managing director/CTO. The interview was pretty straightforward and mostly conversational. They included one technical test where I had to design a website based on their requirements. Everything seemed to go great, and I even got a verbal offer from the final interviewer. Two weeks later, HR called to say they weren't moving forward with me. They strung me along for over a month, gave me a verbal offer, then had HR deliver the bad news, and they couldn't even respond to my emails. Dodged a bullet though.

The interview process was a hassle, involving meeting with 6 different people, and I had to reexplain myself several times. One person couldn't attend, so I had an interview with someone else from the phone while in the office. I was repeatedly told and convinced I was qualified for the position. However, HR never contacted me with the outcome, and I wasn't chosen. It felt like a waste of money traveling from another city through NYC for an interview without even an email update. The questions were basic, and in person, they revealed the position wasn't as described on the application; it involved working across two departments and required 55-60 hours a week from interns. I was made to wait over 30-45 minutes in the waiting room, and then the person who got me complained they didn't know I was there because the secretary never buzzed them. The corporation doesn't seem to care for candidates during interviews, so I can't imagine being an employee.

We started with an informational session, then there was a campus career fair where we had a semi-technical/behavioral chat. Then, for the on-site, there were 4-7 interviews with people from entry level to higher ups. They wanted us to design some mock-ups again, focusing on usability and intuition, not just looks. There were only a few behavioral questions, so it was important to answer them well. They wanted us to be personable, and there weren't any trick questions.
