Outside Sales
I had two phone interviews with HR. The second one was about an hour long and all situational questions. Then I went in person for another interview which was also all situational questions, no background questions, but I could ask about the role. After that, a manager gave me a bunch of info on a client and I had an hour to prep for a mock sales call. It was a lot of info in a short time. The manager wasn't too harsh on the mock call, but the whole thing was weird. They said no feedback would be given. Got an email rejection after two days. Tried to follow up with the local manager but got no reply. I wouldn't want to work there after that.

Inside Sales Representative
I first connected with the company at a career fair. A few days later, I had a phone interview. It was pretty tough, with lots of really specific questions. I guess I did okay because the recruiter scheduled another phone interview, this time with the Sales Manager. That one felt a lot easier, fewer questions and they weren't as detailed, mostly just getting a feel for my personality. I was told to look out for an email about an on-site interview. The email came quickly, but it said I didn't get the on-site. Communication was slow otherwise; after the first phone interview, they said I'd hear back in 48 hours, but it took 4 days to get the next call.
- Can you share an instance where a plan went awry and you had to fix it? What was the outcome?
Client Services Advisor
I had prior experience in digital and print sales. The interview process started with a phone screen, then I met the Sales Manager 1:1. After that, I had a phone interview with the Regional Sales Manager and had to do a tougher closing and fact-finding presentation. My past experience and sales background really helped.
- Are you familiar with the entire sales cycle, from beginning to end?
- Do you know methodical closing techniques?
- Can you identify areas of weakness in the sales cycle?
Account Executive
It all started via email, where I was asked to give consent for a background check and health information disclosure. Once those were approved, a recruiter gave me a call to chat about my experience and background. If everything checked out, I then spoke with a hiring manager for a one-on-one interview. My best advice for this stage is to be confident, but not cocky.
- Tell me about a time you had to persuade someone to adopt your viewpoint.
- What drives you in life?
