Store Manager
The interview process is designed to make the company look like a professional place to work. They put it into your mind that you would be lucky to join their brand, which has grown exponentially in the last 7 years. The reality is that the company has grown rapidly because they got a blank check from P&G to expand, but they are having trouble paying that back now because they didn't grow their infrastructure when they added more stores. The process took several weeks and consisted of 4 interviews, one with the DM over the phone (or in person), one with the Regional over the phone, another with the Regional in person, and a final one with the VP of Retail (sometimes with the VP of Training). Salary was not brought up, they simply asked what I had been making. When the offer was made the Regional took offense to me asking for a better offer and insisted that the Commissions and Bonus package was guaranteed to supplement the difference in the base salary. A background check was not brought up until after the offer was made.
- Can you share an instance where you had to issue a written warning to an employee? Describe your actions.
Consultant
Most of it was over the phone. My first two interviews were in person with the store manager and then I received a follow up phone call with the District Manager. After that, I received an email with a form that had to be filled out. Once that got filled out Corporate had to approve and add me to payroll and then I received an email and a text with my official start date. I know the interview process may vary for everyone, but hopefully this information helps.
- Do you have prior retail experience?
Operations Associate
I first talked with the store manager for a bit. He really seemed to like working for the company and was a very pushy salesperson. After that, I met with the DM a few days later and answered the same basic questions. Since it was a straightforward job, it wasn't hard at all. It was simple, and I was hired as a temporary employee (CoWorx), which allowed me to visit different stores and do sales.
- Tell me what you know about the brand.
- What products do you currently use?
Shaving Consultant
This interview process felt like it was for a six figure salary role, but it was for an associate's position. The interview had three stages: store manager, district manager, and regional manager. This is excessive for an entry level role when the store manager is the only person I'd interact with daily. The company should trust their store managers to hire entry level staff.
- Can you tell me about your previous work experience?
