Technical Presentation

I applied online and the hiring manager got back to me within a week. They scheduled an interview that included a skills assessment and a presentation I had to give. I spent several hours preparing the presentation and more time on the assessment. It was a panel interview with 3 people, pretty standard. I was told within two days that an offer would be extended. My salary expectation was in the application, but the offer was about 30k lower than my requested range. They wouldn't budge, saying the benefits were good. I declined, frustrated by the low offer after putting in so much work. They should check applicant requirements before starting the process to save everyone time and money.

I had two interviews, one over the phone for about an hour, and then I met with the hiring manager face-to-face. The whole thing from applying to getting interviews took about a month. Both interviews seemed to go well, and they said I'd hear back in a week. After three weeks, I emailed the hiring manager and found out they decided not to fill the position at all. Wasted my time and they couldn't even be bothered to get back to me promptly. Thanks.

Applied online with resume, transcript and all my info. Then got an email about 3-4 weeks later asking if I wanted to do an interview. Said yes. Had a 30-45 minute interview. Waited another 2-3 weeks to get an offer email. Accepted.
