First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at The Aerospace Corporation.
Engineer
Started with some behavior questions, then moved on to technical stuff and analysis. They asked about digital designs like UART, Mux, etc., and also about language approach. Practiced circuit questions in both analog and digital. Overall, the interview went pretty well.

Project Engineer
This was an internal hire since I was already at Aerospace. I applied online, and the interview happened about a month after. It was a one-on-one with the hiring manager, and I got the job offer about two months later. The process was pretty standard. To make sure I was successful, I did some informational interviews with the hiring manager and people on the program team before the main interview. I also made sure my references were solid and aware of the program and the hiring manager. I also used other interviews I wasn't as serious about to practice these steps.
- The hiring manager wanted to discuss key philosophies about integrity and responsibility as they relate to the job.
Project Engineer
We had an initial phone screen, then a few weeks later I interviewed with the hiring manager. After that, I had an interview with the Principal Director. To make a decision, they required a final interview with a General Manager. It took a few months from when I applied to when they made the offer.
- Demonstrate your knowledge of the acquisition process via technical questions.
- Demonstrate your knowledge of the acquisition process via behavioral/situational questions.
