The interview process was quite long. First, they gave us a form with about 17 phrases like 'I am a good team player' or 'I always go above and beyond to deliver excellent customer service' or 'I am self motivated to succeed'. You had to rate yourself on a scale from 1-5, where 1 is not like me at all and 5 is very much like me. Then, we went into the interview room with two employees, one asking questions and the other taking notes. It was a bit daunting at first, but the interviewers were nice and made us feel relaxed. They went through the list with us, asking why we chose our ratings and to give examples. After that, they took us to the department to shadow an agent for about 20 minutes to see what the job would be like.

Behavioral Case Presentation

Had 3 interviews. The first was a 40-minute phone call with 3-4 competency-based questions, which they then expanded on, asking what I'd change, about myself, what I knew about the company, and why I chose them. The second interview was a video call instead of in-person due to COVID. It was about an hour long and again had around 8 competency questions and 5 scenarios, covering things like handling conflict, company values, why I'm applying, and my future aspirations within the company. The final part was a role-play of a phone call for a non-insurance product. Considering the salary of £18340 rising to £1910 after training, the process felt quite thorough.
