It was good. They checked if I was a good fit and the interviewers were professional and friendly. They asked questions about the role and I was encouraged to be confident and give the best answers. There were two interviewers, but mostly one asked questions.
- How would you handle a call with an upset customer?

So first I had a face to face chat with someone who asked me questions and someone else writing down my answers. After I finished some paperwork, I had to do a 'personality' test where you rate statements like "I have pride in doing a good job" as "a lot like me", "quite like me", or "not like me". The interviewer then asked me questions from my CV about my previous experience, and then we went back to the questionnaire. For each answer I gave, they read the statement, my choice, and then asked "why did you pick that". After I answered that, they asked me "how it makes your feel" for every single question. Honestly, it was the worst interview structure I've ever seen.
- Do you have previous call centre or sales experience?

I sent in my application online and heard back about a month later for an interview. The first part involved some online tests to check my typing speed and ability to follow audio instructions, which I also had to redo when I arrived. Then, I completed a personality quiz asking about things like listening skills, target orientation, and competitiveness. After that, I got a tour of the different departments and listened in on some calls. The main interview was with two managers, one asking questions and the other taking notes. The questions were all competency-based, tied to my personality questionnaire answers, like asking for examples of working towards targets or being a good listener. They also repeatedly asked how those experiences made me feel, for about nine or ten questions. I was then shown out, and got a job offer call within an hour of leaving.
- Can you tell me about a time you demonstrated good listening skills?
- Give me an example of a time you aimed to be the best.
- Describe a situation where you worked towards targets and how it made you feel.
