Industrial Engineer
The department manager called to talk about my background, what I like to do daily, and how I would handle certain situations. Then I went in person and they showed me around the factory so I could see what the job involves.
- Tell me about a time you improved a manufacturing process. What were the difficulties and how did you get past them?
Manufacturing Engineer
The interviews were done over zoom and they mostly wanted to know about my background and if I knew about tooling procedures. After applying, there were a couple of interview stages. I got through the first one but didn't move on to the second.
- Can you tell me about your experience in a manufacturing environment?
Manufacturing Engineer
I had both formal and informal interviews, including one over lunch. The hiring managers had a relaxed attitude, and I was also interviewed by my potential colleagues. Several department managers joined the interviews, and they would sometimes joke about whether I really wanted to join the company.
- Can you tell me about your education and any projects you've worked on?
