Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Textron.
Intern
The interview process was pretty straightforward. It involved a single phone screening followed by another interview. The interviews focused on behavioral questions, like asking about a challenge I faced and how I overcame it, or a situation where I worked as part of a team. They also asked some questions about my background and resume.
- Can you share your experience working collaboratively in a team?
- Describe a situation where you faced a challenge and how you handled it.
- Could you tell me about a time you had to work with a team?
Intern
I had a phone call and then a virtual video call. The person who did the phone screen seemed to be on different page than the manager who did the video call. They never followed up after I reached out multiple times, which I found to be unprofessional.
- Can you explain how your previous experiences connect with the requirements of this role?
Intern
This interview was for a Master Internship. They asked technical questions about projects, mostly drawing from your resume, so know your resume well. Then, they asked some HR questions. The whole thing took about 30 minutes.
- Could you list the control surfaces of an aircraft?
- What are some examples of aircraft systems you can name?
