First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Textron Aviation.
Mechanical Engineer
The interview process was very formal, and they put us in a nicer part of the campus interview rooms. It wasn't with the big sponsors like Cargill or Garmin, but the tier just below. They asked very simple questions. They wanted to know what makes me stand out from other interns and what I could contribute.
- Can you tell me why you applied and what you hope to gain from this internship?
- What skills do you possess that differentiate you from other candidates?
Mechanical Engineer
It was a recorded interview with 7 questions. You get one shot to re-record each question, but the pressure is on like a real interview. The questions were pretty basic.
- What year are you graduating?
- What motivated you to apply for this position?
- What are your aspirations for this role?
Mechanical Design Engineer
I was sent a link to a self-recorded video interview for two different jobs. I sent back my responses for both within two days of getting the link, but then I didn't hear anything back. The self-interview had standard interview questions.
- What are your goals for this role?
