The interview was split into two stages. The first round was pretty good, but the second round had a panel of 11 people, even though 15 were invited. The questions were pretty relevant and specific. It's tough for such a big panel to agree and make sure everyone knows how to interview. Some questions didn't seem right or weren't clear. Also, about half the panel left halfway through, which felt rude given our time.

Applied online. Got a call the next day to set up a HR phone interview. The HR interview happened a few days later with the supervisor also on the call. They asked about 10 questions, and then asked if I had any questions. It was pretty awkward, like a cold interview, just question and answer with an 'Okay' response. The next day the supervisor called to schedule a 1:1 interview. Texas Mutual is traditional, maybe outdated, but that might be good for some. Had to do a typing test before the interview - a practice one and then the real one. The 1:1 felt like a semi-panel with two supervisors and two people from claims just watching. About 10 average questions. Didn't get much job info unless I asked. Found out about mandatory overtime twice a week. Everyone was polite but not friendly. Felt like they mainly wanted people willing to work long hours. Didn't get the family culture vibe like others said. Didn't seem like people knew each other. They said I'd hear back within two weeks. Got an email two weeks later saying I didn't get the job.

After submitting my application online, I was contacted by an HR rep pretty fast. A few days later, I had a phone chat with HR that went really well. Then, I got invited to talk with a claims supervisor. I had a phone call with them a few days after that, and they set up an on-site interview. I couldn't make the date they suggested, so I emailed the supervisor to suggest other times for the on-site. After 10 days with no reply, I sent a follow-up email. The day after that, I got an email saying I didn't get the job. It felt weird to get rejected after two good phone interviews and when we were trying to schedule the on-site.
