Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Teva Pharmaceuticals.
Director
In 2022, I interviewed with 5-6 people and it all went great, but then they had a hiring pause for all NA roles. In early 2023, the same role was posted, so I reached out to my contacts to see if there was still interest. After a lot of emails trying to find who was handling the role now, they set up a call with me... only for the person to tell me in about 3 minutes that there was no interest in me for the role anymore. Honestly, an email would have done fine, and not raising my expectations over nothing.
- Can you tell me about your background and experience?
- Could you describe your understanding of this role?
Director
Teva's interview process is quite lengthy, involving 8 rounds. They tend to be very slow in their decision-making, taking 2-3 months post-interviews and then an unlimited amount of time after initial screening. Communication from HR or senior management regarding updates is minimal, leading to extended waiting periods for candidates.
- What generic questions were asked?
- Were there 8-9 rounds with different people asking the same things?
Director
Be ready - it is a very long process which takes a lot of time and includes many different steps. Besides that, the process is quite demanding and professional. First contact - they actively contact skilled candidates (Glassdoor and other sources) but you can also apply using their website. Interviews - one should expect to have several interviews, usually it starts with a phone interview and then a couple of professional interviews. The difficulty differs between one to another and it is probably up to the person who interviews you, the position you apply for, etc.. Panels / assessment centers - unlike regular panels/assessment centers, for this type of position they might send you to a very long and intensive day at an external center which is focused on managerial skills - there is no much to prepare, but expect it to be quite difficult and challenging. Negotiations - they usually ask you for your expectations a couple of times during the process, probably to make sure not to waste your or their time (they might even ask you during the first phone interview). Overall impression - challenging, quite professional but too long and bureaucratic.
- What unique qualities do you offer the organization?
