First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Tetra Tech.
Technical Intern
The stages are long and they take a long time to respond, I did the online interview about a week ago and they still haven't answered me, they also look for people who already have some experience in the area, the interviewers also seemed not to know what to ask.
- What are your strengths and weaknesses?
- Why should I hire you?
Intern
It's a standard interview process. You'll usually have screenings with a recruiter or HR. Then, there's a preliminary interview with technical folks. If they're considering you, expect a second interview with some familiar and new faces. They might be looking for specific skills or just generally assessing you. Make sure to prep for the interview and anticipate their questions.
- What makes you want to be in this position?
Intern
The hiring process was a bit unclear, and unfortunately, the company underwent a restructuring which caused significant delays between stages. Because of this, anything discussed or done in the first interview was essentially forgotten. The second stage involved a technical writing assignment, and it's advisable to study the field you're applying for. The interviewer seemed stressed and tired.
- Are you comfortable considering work in this area?
- Which subjects from your course did you find most engaging?
