Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at TEOCO.
Software Engineer
First, the recruiters give a call for initial screening. If they like the candidate, a technical round is set up with 2 Lead software engineers. After passing that, the last round is with a manager from the US who asks managerial questions. If the candidate passes this, they get the offer.
- Can you explain how to establish a database connection using PyMySQL?
- How would you go about building an API with Flask?
- What are some Python-specific questions regarding syntax and programming?
Software Engineer
I applied via a friend who works at Teoco. First, I talked to HR for about 30 mins. Then, they set up a technical interview. It was pretty easy, focusing on Java questions. After that, I had an onsite interview. It was similar to the technical one, but with more detailed questions about my previous experience, Java, and databases.
- Could you explain StringBuilder in Java?
- Can you write a database query that uses an inner join for a given schema?
- Tell me more about your past experience.
Senior Software Engineer
So the interview process was basically a telephone call, then a face-to-face meeting. They asked some technical questions and then there was an HR interview. It was pretty standard procedure, nothing really company-specific.
- Was the telephone interview part of the process?
- Did you have a face-to-face interview?
- Were technical questions asked?
