First, the recruiters give a call for initial screening. If they like the candidate, a technical round is set up with 2 Lead software engineers. After passing that, the last round is with a manager from the US who asks managerial questions. If the candidate passes this, they get the offer.

So, the interview process went like this: first, there was a test with analytical questions and programming problems, then an interview in English with the team leader. After that, there was an interview with two people where I had to solve more programming problems. Then I interviewed with the group leader, and finally, HR. The whole thing took about 3 weeks.

HR reached out and the phone interview went well, making me excited. During the in-person interview, I was supposed to meet 5 people. I first met with HR, then an account manager. The other interviewers were unavailable, so I was sent to the CEO. The CEO spoke over me, seemed uninterested in interviewing me, and asked irrelevant and nonsensical questions for the role. My excitement for the position faded due to the CEO's behavior. I'm glad I didn't get an offer because I wouldn't have wanted to work there. To attract candidates, treat them with respect during interviews and avoid arrogance.

Behavioral Other

Interviewed in Fall 2011 and the role wasn't as interesting or creative as I thought. The HR person was arrogant and offered a very low salary, about 80% of my current salary, which shocked me. I already had a job and told them my salary. It seemed like a waste of time to come in for such a low offer. A friend had the same experience in Sept 2012, with the same outcome, before I could even talk to him. We found the similarities amusing. The CEO, who thinks he's doing you a favor by letting you work there, showed me his book. While I acknowledge he's found a profitable niche, his belief that people would be happy to work for less than they're worth for the 'privilege' of working there is questionable. Good luck with that.
