First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at TenFour.
Network Engineer
I met tenfour at a job fair in my college. They called me to their Morristown branch for an interview. The interview was 4 hours long. Everyone was nice and professional. However, the technical interview was unfair in my view. Despite me answering several questions and describing my thought process, the interviewers were hell-bent on undermining me and proving that they were more knowledgeable than me. I am a Fresher about to enter the cloud industry, of course, a person with years of knowledge knows more than me.
- Could you describe what an Internet Packet looks like?
- How would you go about preparing food for 100 people within an hour?
- As a packet travels from its origin to its destination through multiple routers, which address information gets modified at the different hops along the way?
Network Engineer
The interview process was excessively long. After waiting for a month, they presented a job description that was for a more junior role than what I initially applied for. Following this, there was no further communication. It appears they might prioritize candidates with existing certifications, possibly to avoid the investment in training new hires.
- The technical interview was extremely thorough, focusing on details. Is this a necessary step to ensure proper candidate screening?
- How do we ensure that the screening process is effective in identifying the right people?
- What are the key aspects of technical interviewing that need to be detailed?
Network Engineer
There were 4 interview rounds, where I met different people from the team and management. However, there was a scheduling conflict, and I had to wait for 30 minutes. I tried to follow up multiple times, but they didn't get back to me. I received one response indicating they were still interviewing and hadn't decided, but after that, I heard nothing even after weeks of follow-up.
- Could you explain the TCP/IP network stack and discuss the various layers within it?
