Project Manager
It started with a quick intro and a review of my resume. They asked me about my pricing skills, how I pick vendors, and how I manage cost and margin. They gave me feedback that I need to show more of my own thinking and actions in projects, not just stick to standard ways of doing things.
- How do you ensure vendor reliability and what's your process for compliance?
- Tell me about your vendor selection process and how you manage cost and margin trade-offs.
Project Manager
The interview process involved an internationally based team. HR personnel were located in Malaysia and Hong Kong, while the three interviewers I spoke with were in the US and Singapore. The interviewers were friendly and asked straightforward questions focused on my background. A key challenge was conducting some interviews in Chinese, which is not my strongest language, though this was communicated upfront by HR and in the job description. Despite not getting the offer, it was a positive experience.
- Can you describe your past experiences?
Project Manager Intern
The interview process focused on my background and behavioral questions. While they prefer bilingual candidates, all interviews were conducted in English.
